Today Heather and I made our way back to the Doctor's office in hopes of getting our "peek" of McKenzie via 3D4D ultrasound. Unfortunately, McKenzie decided not to participate and held her hand and arm directly in front of her face for the entire visit. Of course we are both a little disappointed, however the nurse was very kind and we are going to try again this coming Monday morning 2/15 @ 9A.
McKenzie's estimated weight at 30 weeks is 3 lbs 11 oz, and heartrate of 144 bpm. They didn't measure her length this visit, however Heather's (stomach) measures at 31 weeks and the doctor made his first comment about not wanting Heather to have a 10 lb baby (neither does Heather) =)...
Heather was right on target with her weight, blood pressure and blood sugar, so mama is doing good.
Nursery Update: The nursery furniture has finally arrived and we couldn't be happier. At this point we have only been able to pick up the dresser and crib and are making plans to get the armour after our trip to Atlanta this weekend. The crib is together and the bedding is already in place.
Tomorrow Heather, myself, Debbie (Heather's mom), and Peggy (my mom) will be leaving to attend our first baby shower in Atlanta with several of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. We have been looking forward to this trip for many reasons, but none greater than the opportunity to visit with family and initiate this involvment of them into McKenzie's life.
*Mom note*: Mom's new pleasure is to feel McKenzie get the hiccups during the day, but has quickly learned that her daughters acrobatic flips and spins aren't as comfortable or "neat feeling" as they once were.
*Dad note*: With each passing day I look forward more and more to the arrival of McKenzie into our household. My simple pleasure during this pregnancy has been able too feel McKenzie move and flip each evening, although it was a little weird at first =).
We will do our very best to post 3D4D pictures Monday assuming the "3rd time really is the charm".
